4065Thomas Gebhardt2002-10-082002-10-0836 part canon, 9 choirs, only one choir shown. Notes from Thomas Gebhardt on performance: … each part is divided into 9 singers (or parts), they start singing one bar after another, i.e. bar1=soprano1, bar2=soprano2 … bar9=soprano9+alto(high tenor)1, bar10=alto2 … bar17=alto9+tenor1 (on 3rd beat), bar18=tenor2 … bar25=tenor9+bass1, bar26=bass2 … soprano holds c" until end of piece. But various alternatives are possible. We have done the piece starting in bar 25 with tenor/bass duet (all singers but no canon) singing until the end, after that started the canon of soprano and alto only (18 singers). In a second version we did the complete canon (36 singers) as described above. Latin remarks in the score are quoted from original print.8913Deo gratias (36 part canon) (Johannes Ockeghem)Deo gratias (36 part canon)Johannes Ockeghem2023-09-16 09:41:43
