Biography
Andrea Antico was an Italian music printer, editor, publisher and composer of the Renaissance, of Istrian birth, active in Rome and in Venice. He was the first printer of sacred music in Rome. A publisher in his own right in the 1510s and early 1520s, by the 1530s he was mostly printing, producing work for Ottaviano Scotto and Antonio dell'Abbate, for example.
