How blest the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
How blest are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
How blest are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
How blest are those who thirst and hunger for righteousness, for they will be filled.
How blest are the merciful, for the merciful will receive mercy.
How blest are they who have pure heart, for they will see God.
How blest are those who bring peace, for they shall be called the children of God.
How blest are the persecuted for righteousness sake, theirs shall be the kingdom of Heaven.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in Heaven.
Matthew 5:3-10, 12a
