1. Through your silent tears

Through your silent tears you purge your suffering:
The wounds bleed clean. More fool than cruel,
I take salt and rub.
Dry-eyed, though aching, I look on,
While each tear purges you of me a little more.

2. Spring (haiku)

Spring will come again,
But an inch of love’s flame
Is an inch of ashes.

3. Lovers link arms (haiku)

Lovers link arms
On summer days. My hand is empty,
my heart is full.

4. The night has a thousand eyes

The night has a thousand eyes, and the day but one,
Yet the light of the bright world dies with the dying sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes, and the heart but one,
Yet the light of a whole life dies when love is done.
