Credo quod Redemptor meus vivit

et in novissimo die de terra surrecturus sum.

Responsum

Et in carne mea videbo Deum Salvatorem meum.

Versus

Quem visurus sum ego ipse, et non alius,

et oculi mei conspecturi sunt.

Credo quod

I know that my Redeemer liveth

and at the latter day upon the earth I will resurrect

Responsum

And yet in my flesh shall I see God my Saviour

Versus

It´s me the one who will see Him, not any other one

and my very eyes will contemplate His face.

Qui Lazarum

Qui Lazarum resuscitasti a monumento foetidum:

Responsum

Tu eis Domine, dona requiem et locum indulgentiae.

Versus

Qui venturus es judicare vivos

et mortuos, et sæculum per ignem.

Qui Lazarum

Thou who hast Lazarus resurrected from the stinky sepulchre:

Responsum

Thou art the Lord; give [our brother] the eternal rest and words of indulgence.

Versus

Thou who will judge the living and the dead

by the everlasting fire.

Domine quando

Domine, quando veneris judicare terram,

ubi me abscondam a vultu irae tuae?

Responsum

Quia peccavi nimis in vita mea.

Versus

Commissa mea pavesco

Et ante te erubesco,

Dum veneris judicare,

Noli me condemnare.

Versus

Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis.

O Lord, when the final judgement comes,

Where will I hide from Thy raged face?

Responsum

Beacuse there are too many sins in my life.

Versus

My transgressions make me fear

And before Thee I feel ashamed,

But in Thy judgement

Do not let me be condemned.

Versus

Concede [our brother] the eternal rest; and may the everlasting light shine upon him.

Memento mei Deus, quia ventus est vita mea:

Responsum

Nec aspiciat me visus hominis.

Versus

De profundis clamavi ad te Domine: Domine exaudi vocem meam.

Memento mei

Remember Thy servant, o Lord, for my life is over.

Responsum

Do not compare me with any other man.

Versus

From the deepest have I called Thee, o Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
