Grant, we beseech thee, merciful Lord,
to thy faithful people pardon and peace;
that they may be cleansed from all their sins
and serve thee with a quiet mind;
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

German translation

Gewähre, so bitten wir dich zutiefst, barmherziger Gott,
deinem treuen Volk Vergebung und Frieden;
so dass sie von allen Sünden reingewaschen seien
und dir mit friedfertigem Gemüt dienen;
durch Jesus Christ, unsern Herrn. Amen.
