English text
Here I am, Lord, waiting in stillness for the symbols of suff’ring
born of your love.
Here I am, Lord: utterly humbled by the mercy of God above;
and as I contemplate your face and your bloodstained crown,
so I fall upon my knees as your love comes down upon me just as I am,
a sinner redeemed to offer praise to you.
Precious Jesus, holy Jesus: Lord!
Here I am, Lord, held in your arms of loving kindness,
embracing all that you’ve done.
Here I am, Lord: bathed in the blessing and the radiance of the Son;
and as I contemplate the cost of your love come down,
so I revel in the light of your kingly crown of glory: just as you are,
my saviour and friend: I offer praise to you.
