When you look into the Bible
and you read of famous men
there is something held in common by them all.
It is something quite essential,
and extremely providential,
and is something that we all should strive to do.
As you look around the choir as we lift our voices high,
there is something that inspires us one and all.
It is something held in common with the prophets
and helps us know what to do.
They loved their mothers,
and their sisters and brothers.
They loved their mothers,
and so should you.
When you're looking for a model
of the way you should behave,
you simply need to think about your mother.
You'll know what to do.
When you read about old Joseph
and his coat of many hues,
you will see he had responsibilities.
He provided for the people when the food had all run out,
and his honor never once was held in doubt.
When his did not recognize their brother dear,
Joseph thought about what he'd been taught by Rachel,
and then he knew what to do.
He loved his mother, and his eleven other brothers.
He loved his mother, and so should you.
When you're looking for a model of the way you should behave,
you simply need to think about your mother,
you'll know what to do.
