O stellae coruscantes,
ornamenta coelorum
que cecas tenebras illuminatis,
o pure Sol, o luna,
o imagines almae illius quem adoro,
illius qui vos fecit,
et jubare lucentes,
benedicite Deo et collaudate eum
qui volubilitatem
qui splendorem orbibus vestris dedit
vos eum laudate in aeternum.
Spanish translation
Oh, estrellas centelleantes,
adornos de los cielos
que ilumináis las oscuras tinieblas,
oh, claro sol, oh, luna
oh, dulces imágenes del que adoro,
de Aquél que os hizo,
vosotras que brilláis como luces
bendecid a Dios y colmadlo de alabanzas,
a Él, que ha dado a vuestros círculos
el resplandor y el movimiento
vosotras alabadlo eternamente.
German translation
O funkelnde Sterne,
des Himmels Zier,
die ihr die finstre Nacht erhellt.
O klare Sonne, o Mond,
o holde Abbilder dessen, den ich anbete.
Gleichwohl, ihr leuchtenden Gestirne,
lobet Gott und rühmt ihn,
der eurer Kreisbewegung,
