Philippe Dugué (fl. 1734-51) is quite possibly the author of the hymntune DUGUET, popularly used for O salutaris hostia. The Catholic Community Hymnal (GIA 1999) and others attribute the tune instead to "Dieu donne Duguet, d. 1767".
Fétis lists an Abbé Duguet who became maitre de musique at St. Germain l'Auxerrois in 1767 and at Notre Dame de Paris in 1780.
