French text Quand l'ennuy facheux vous prend N'attendez point qu'il entame Votre beauté dont despend Le plaisir plus doux que basme. Venez, et je soys infame S'en riant ne vous guéris. J'ay du passetems, madame, pour dix.

English translation If you feel the sorrow setting in, do not wait for it to overcome your beauty, which is the source of pleasure sweeter than balm. Come to me, and I'll be damned if I do not cure your sorrow with a laugh. I have tricks up my sleeve, my lady, that would cure ten like you.
