• Merge - These are indeed the same work. The phonetic transliterated underlay of "Ige Herouvimy" is the only real difference (and "Ige" should be "Izhe"). I've sung this work a few times and heard it many more times. -- Chuck_talk Giffen_♫ 15:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
• Merge - Chuck is right, the works are the same, this score used a transliteration based on French. Following the rules currently in use on the English Wikipedia, the title would be changed to "Izhe Kheruvimy", with a "Kh" instead of only "H" (which would also make it resemble more its meaning, "Cherubims"), but if the "H" is the traditional form used it should be kept. "H" versus "Kh" is a ticklish point, since in the initial position, it is more like the softer German "ch" in "ich" rather than the harder German "ch" in "ach" - I think that is why most English sources use "Heruvim" rather than "Kheruvim". By the way, the word "Cherubim" is already plural (of Cherub), the "-y" is just an ending which is part of the declension of "Heruvim". Chuck, in Google search it seems that "izhe kheruvimy" is also quite common, perhaps even more than "izhe heruvimy". By the way, the "o" should also be removed from Herouvimy, shouldn't it? Carlos _✉ 18:07, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
