Items 1, 2, 7, 8, 12, 15, corresponding to CPDL Editions #12726, 12727, 12729, 15955, 16219 respectively, were compared with the Simrock edition, plate 7670, available at IMSLP and considered as a reference editions herein. The comparison is limited to notes of the choral parts (no comparison was performed on lyrics). The following differences were identified:

Item nr. 8, CPDL #12729, "Weiche Gräser im Revier"

Soprano, bar 38 – 39: the first note of bar 38, tied to the first note of bar 39, is G in the reference edition rather than F.

Tenor, bar 18 and 20: the only note in these bars is B(b) in the reference edition rather than E(b).

Tenor, bar 19 and 21: the only note in these bars is C in the reference edition rather than E(b).

Tenor, bar 40: the second note is E natural in the reference edition rather than E(b).

Tenor, bar 41: the second note is B natural in the reference edition rather than B(b).

Many differences exist in the piano accompaniment (bar 9 – 17, bar 26 – 42).

Item nr. 15, CPDL #16219, "Zum Schluß (Nun, ihr Musen, genug!)"

Soprano, bar 3: the first two notes are both F in the reference edition, rather than C and G respectively.

The choir training aids available at Choralia are consistent with the reference edition. Comparison made by Max a.k.a. Choralia 20:39, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
