equal sign mid-word in page title and elsewhere within page text?
| Help |
Was there supposed to be some accented character that's not being rendered properly? Signed, Vaa3rky (but the 3 is silent) |
- The equal sign is an old fashioned way to represent the hyphen. Brazilian inventor Santos-Dumont sometimes signed his name as Santos=Dumont. In this case, the original title may be "modernized" with the substitution of the equal sign by a hyphen. —Carlos 06:42, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- If we are to follow the precedent set on Talk:John Dowland, the equals sign should be modernised to a hyphen. --Bobnotts talk 15:47, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
