English.png English text

1.

We three kings of Orient are;
Bearing gifts we traverse afar,
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

Refrain:

O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.

2.

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.

Refrain

3.

Frankincense to offer have I;
Incense owns a Deity nigh;
Prayer and praising, voices raising,
Worshipping God on high.

Refrain

4.

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume
Breathes a life of gathering gloom;
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
Sealed in the stone cold tomb.

Refrain

5.

Glorious now behold Him arise;
King and God and sacrifice;
Alleluia, Alleluia,
Sounds through the earth and skies.

Refrain

Italian.png Italian translation

1.

Noi i tre Re magi siam;
e viaggiando doni portiamo,
campi e fonti, deserti e monti,
quella stella seguiam.

Ritornello:

O scintilla, luce che brilla,
stella che bellezza stilla,
Verso Occidente porti la gente,
guidaci a te, splendente.

2.

A Betlemme nasce un Re,
corona d'oro offro a te,
Re per sempre, nullatenente,
su tutti regnerai.

Ritornello

3.

Ecco, incenso, porto a te,
un'essenza degna di Re;
lode, prece intona la voce,
adora Dio nel ciel.

Ritornello

4.

Mia la mirra, acre sentor,
già io avverto la tua Passion;
dolore forte, sangue, morte,
sepolcro la tua sorte.

Ritornello

5.

Nella gloria risorgerà,
Re e Dio, trionferà;
Alleluia, Alleluia,
pel mondo suonerà.

Ritornello
