Thomas Collins of Nuneaton is known for one publication, A Collection of Anthems & Psalms, which is undated, but which the catalogue of the British Library dates to around 1790. Simplified versions of one of the tunes from this book (a setting of O what a happy thing it is) were also published with different texts in 1789 under the title 'Broomsgrove' in Thomas Williams' Psalmodia Evangelica and under the title 'Uffington' in William Dixon's Psalmodia Christiana: neither Williams nor Dixon attributed the tune to Collins, and it was widely republished thereafter, often titled 'Broomsgrove' and without attribution.
