Biography

The "Nonsuch" Morel. As explained by Anthony Milledge in his PhD thesis (p.134), this is a separate composer from Clément Morel. Annotations in books formerly held in the library of Nonsuch Palace demonstrate that Morel was a member of the Earl of Arundell's household.

This page needs splitting. The two works listed above are by different composers. The canon 'Honi soit qui mal y pense' is by the 'Nonsuch' Morel, whose Christian name is unknown. As the biography says, he is not the same person as Clement Morel. The chanson 'Content ou non' is, however, by Clement Morel.
