1. From the first of time God provided a plan:
He would send His Son, bring redemption to man.
To a humble birth place in a manger bed,
came a King who will wear every crown of the world
on His beautiful head, and the crown of suffring,
crown of thorns was the first that He willingly wore.

God became a Man! Oh the mystery
that his love could plan such a birth;
God became a Man, left His glory
walked among the men here on earth;
but for me He has suff’red, for me He bled and died
on a lonely cross He carried my sin and shame.
God became a Man when Jesus came.

2. (Oh the) Love of God for a sinner like me,
that my heart can know
Whom mine eyes cannot see;
for to me He’s given riches from His store
in the person of ]esus, the Christ!
He’s my King, and my Saviour and Lord.
But for me He suffer'd, shed his blood,
so that I could be pardoned by God.

When I didn’t know that He loved me
God became a Man for my sin.
Born a lowly birth in a manger,
He can give you new life within;
since for you He has suff’red,
for you He bled and died,
on a lonely cross forsaken by
God and by man.

(Interlude...)
This is the reason that He came to the earth.
This is the promise of the second birth.
My condemnation has been taken a way;
With tender love He sought me,
With precious blood He bought me.

3. I will tell of the Mercy He’s shown;
I will sing now of the Grace He bestowed.
His Precious body dying on the tree
was more than sufficient to Save,
and to Keep, and to Cleanse and to Free;
for to die was my judgement.
He died the death that was meant to be mine and I’m Free.

There’s an empty Tomb where they laid Him,
conquering He rose from the grave.
God became a Man for our pardon,
finish'd by the Life that He gave.
Oh, for you He has suff’red,
for you He bled and died,
on a lonely Cross,Oh!_______
God became a Man!
God became a Man!
God became a Man!
