In turn, influenced Walker's Southern Harmony (1835) and Southern and Western Pocket Harmonist (1846), White and King's Sacred Harp (1844), and Hauser's Hesperian Harp (1848). See Harmonia Sacra for editions after 1847. Winchester, Virginia is about 65 miles up the Shenandoah Valley from Harrisonburg, and Mountain Valley is 12 miles northeast of Harrisonburg.
