A piè d'un lauro, che soavi venti
Scotean, con dolci accenti,
Mi vivea più, che mai, lieto, e felice.
Hor poi, che del suo verde
Per me più ogn'hora perde,
Ingrata la stagion chiamo, e infelice:
Ma, s'avien, che per me più non fiorisca,
Amor fà, ch'altri almen non ne gioisca.
