Latin text
Alma Venus, vultu languentem despice laeto,
respice languentem dulciter, alma Venus.
Anni principio tibi prospera cuncta precamur,
ut placido subeat pectore noster amor,
et mihi fausta satis fuerint haec omnia Jani
annua qui nobis lumina laeta refert.
Alma Venus, vultu languentem despice laeto,
respice languentem dulciter, alma Venus.
Nunc elegos divae quaerulos dimittere versus,
undique sollicitis resoluto pectore curis,
Musica nunc alio demulceat omnia cantu,
protinus ex misero videor dum maximus heros,
nam mea me placidis oculis respexit amica
et poenitus nostro delevit corde dolorem.
