- Edition notes: Transcribed from 1566 Gardano edition. In the Seconda parte, in the Quintus in measure 20 the last minim in Gardano's 1566 and 1570 edition is a C sharp, which we corrected to C natural, in order to avoid a false relation with the Cantus. Original key (chiavi naturali) and note values.

Italian text
Amor, che vedi ogni pensero aperto
e i duri passi onde tu sol mi scorgi,
a te palese, a tutt'altri coverto.
Assai contenti lasci i miei desiri,
pur che ben desïando i' mi consume,
né le dispiaccia che per lei sospiri.
(Canzoniere, 163)
