Description: A Sequentia(?) for the Corpus Christi transcribed from the Trent manuscript tr89. The time signatures, notes' values and colourings are as in the manuscript, the perfect notes are dotted. The coloured notes are “hemiolæ". The text is underlaid only to the Superius. The notes' values within the ligaturæ are as follows: the left upstemmed notes are semibreves - the unstemmed notes are breves - the right downstemmed note are longæ. The "musica ficta" suggestions are in the MIDI and MusicXML files.

in qua sacrificia cuncta sunt finita.
Per te patri gloria, datur infinita.
Per te stat ecclesia, jugiter munita.

Ave vas clementiæ, scrinium dulcoris,
in quo sunt deliciæ calici saporis.
Veritas substantiæ, tota salvatoris,
sacramentum gratiæ, pabulum amoris.

Sei gegrüßt, du lebendige Opfergabe, Wahrheit und Leben,
in der alle Opfer zu Ende gebracht sind.
Durch dich wird dem Vater unendlicher Ruhm gegeben,
durch dich steht die Kirche immerdar befestigt.

Sei gegrüßt, du Gefäß der Milde, Schrein der Süßigkeit,
in dem die Wonnen des himmlischen* Geschmacks sind.

  • Es muß wohl "caelici" (= des himmlischen) statt "calici" heißen, denn "calici" würde "dem Kelch" bedeuten und ergäbe hier keinen Sinn.
