1. Cha b'e sneachda's an reothadh bho thuath,
Cha b'e'n crannadh geur fuar bho'n ear,
Cha b'e'n t-uisge is gaillionn bho'n iar,
Ach an galar a bhlian bho'n deas.

Blàth duilleach, stoc agus freumh,
Cànan mo threubh is mo shluaigh.

Chorus:
Thig thugainn thig co' ruinn gu siar,
Gus an cluinn sinn ann cànan nam Féinn;
Thig thugainn thig co 'ruinn gu siar,
Gus an cluinn sinn ann cànan nan Gaidheal.

2. Bheir a-nuas dhuinn na coinnleirean òr,
'S annt’ càraibh na coinnlean geal céir,
Lasaibh suas iad an seòmar a'bhròin,
Taigh aire seann chànan a'Ghaidheil;

'Se siud bho chionn fhad' thuirt an nàmh,
Ach fhathast tha beò Cànan nan Gaidheal.

Chorus

4. Ged nach cluinnear a-nis i 's an dùn,
No'n talla nan cliar is nan còrn,
Ged tha meòir' Chloinn 'ic Chriomain gun lúths,
Bho'n tric fheasgar ciùin dhòirteadh ceòl,

Gidheadh, anns na h-Eileanan Siar
'S i fhathast ann, ciad chàinnt' an t-sloigh.

Chorus
