Bulletin board

Because of major problems with posting messages at the (external) CPDL bulletin board (a.k.a. "Forums" or "BB"), this page has been created so that, for the present, users can post messages which they might otherwise post at the external BB.

Five of the external BB forums are more-or-less replicated below as links to pages on which users may start new topics and post messages in existing topics. For topics or questions that don't seem to fit in anywhere in these, feel free to post messages or start a new topic on the Bulletin board talk page.

To start a new topic, just type

{{NewTopic|<title of new topic>}}

at the beginning of a line. For example, typing

{{NewTopic|Looking for works in Quenya}}

will start a new topic, appearing as:

Looking for works in Quenya[edit]

To add a message to an existing topic, simply click on the [edit] link at the right of the topic title and post your message below the previous posted messages on the topic.

To Post a message, simply start a new line with the Template:ItemPost as follows:

{{ItemPost|<your name & date>|<your message>}}.

The easiest way to sign and date your message is to type four tildes ( ~~~~ ) for <your name & date>. Thus typing

{{ItemPost|~~~~|
Here is a sample message
spread over several lines.<br>

It even has more than one paragraph.

Here is a sample message
spread over several lines.

It even has more than one paragraph.

You can track the activity in a forum by adding the forum page to your Watchlist - simply click on the watch tab at the top of the forum page.
