This license was written by the Mutopia Project before the Creative Commons Attribution license existed. Some form of the Creative Commons Attribution license is now used for all scores submitted to the Mutopia Project and the MutopiaBSD license is being phased out.
A summary of the license is that you are free to copy, distribute, display and perform the work, make derivative works, and make commercial use of the work. You must, however, give the original author credit, and there is a notice that must be distributed if you distribute music under this license. The original license may be viewed here.
