Is it necessary to keep this page and all subpages? A dynamic page that mimics this listing can now be done with DPL almost effortlessly. —Carlos 20:13, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Actually, it would be difficult to make DPL do what this list was originally intended to do ... namely, to log the posting of new score editions by date of posting. To make such listing work, we would, at very least, be required to provide a Category:yyyy-mm-dd (such as is supplied with Template:NewWork) for every edition - currently only done for works less than one year old (and these are categorized in New works). A simple change to Template:NewWork will supply a date category for all editions bearing the template, and perhaps a usable list could be built from that ... except for the fact that there are many, many editions which do not have NewWork applied to them. I'll change Template:NewWork to add date categories, even when the edition is not "new" ... at least we can play with the results.
Page title
I propose that this page be moved to the ChoralWiki namespace, in line with other similar "system" pages. Also the title itself could be spaced correctly unless there's a particular reason for having it together - how about "ChoralWiki:New scores log"? --Bobnottstalk 16:03, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
I moved the page (and this talk page) yesterday. -- ChucktalkGiffen♫ 20:28, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
