German text Christ fuhr gen Himmel. Was sandt er uns hernieder? Den Tröster, den Heiligen Geist, zu Trost der armen Christenheit. Halleluja! Des solln wir alle frölich sein, Christ will unser Trost sein, Halleluja!

English translation Christ rose to heaven. What has He sent to us poor Christians? The Holy Spirit has come to comfort all in Christendom. Alleluia! Therefor we all sing joyfully. Christ, our Comforter is He. Alleluia!
