Come, woeful Orpheus, with thy charming Lyre,
And tune my voice unto thy skillful wire.
Some strange chromatic notes do you devise,
That best with mournful accents sympathize.
Of sourest sharps and uncouth flats make choice,
And I’ll thereto compassionate my voice.
