Description: First published in Plain Psalmody, 1800, p. 32, for three voices: Treble-Tenor-Bass. Words by Nahum Tate and Nicholas Brady, 1698, New Version, their paraphrase of Psalm 29, in eight stanzas. Holden used stanzas three and eight in his composition. Tate and Brady's stanza three starts "'Tis He that with amazing noise."
