a labiis iniquis et a lingua dolosa

in mandatis ejus volet nimis.

English translation

May sharp swords cut out all evil tongues!

In the morning of St Francis Day
a slander was spread about me
that I had slept with the virgin lady.

O Lord, deliver my soul
from wicked lips, and a deceitful tongue.

May sharp swords cut out all evil tongues!

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord:
he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.
