Latin text Maria, quid ploras ad monumentum? Quaenam fuere tibi causae doloris? Crucifixerunt amorem meum & occiderunt eum qui mihi dedit vitam. Absterge cadentes lacrymas invitis perfidas Iudaecis Ille vivit & vivet in aeternum & possidebis eum.

English translation Mary, why are you weeping at the tomb? What were the causes of your pain? They crucified my love And they slew him who has given me life. Wipe away the tears falling because of the perfidious Jews. He lives and shall live for ever, and you shall possess him.
