Description: First published in Plain Psalmody, 1800, pp. 66-67, for three voices: Treble-Tenor-Bass. Words by Isaac Watts, 1706, entitled The Comforts of a Friend, with eight stanzas. Holden used stanzas six, seven, and eight in his composition.
