Biography

Emanuel Abraham Aguilar was born in Clapham, London, England. His father was from the West Indies, of Spanish descent. He was a successful concert pianist and teacher in London, appearing regularly in recitals, and performed in Germany. His sister Grace was a novelist. He died in St. Marylebone, London. His compositions include two operas, cantatas, symphonies, overtures, quartets, piano works, and assorted small pieces.
