Latin text Exaltata est sancta Dei genitrix, super choros angelorum ad caelestia regna: Maria virgo caelos ascendit: Gaudete, quia cum Christo regnat in aeternum. Variant 1 Virgo prudentissima quo progrederis quasi aurora valde rutilans? Filia Sion tota formosa et suavis es: pulchra ut luna, electa ut sol.

English translation The holy mother of God has gone up to the heavenly kingdom, above the choirs of angels: The virgin Mary ascends to heaven. Rejoice, for she reigns with Christ in all eternity. Variant 1 Most prudent virgin, where are you going glowing brightly as the morning? Daughter of Zion, wholly beautiful and sweet, fair as the moon, bright as the sun.
