French text

Frais et gaillard, un jour entre cent mille,
je m'entrepris de faire ample ouverture,
au cabinet d'une mignonne fille,
pour accomplir les œuvres de nature.

La fille m'y répond, tel est mon appétit,
mais, mon ami, je crains de l'avoir trop petit.
Quand elle me sentit, s'écria notre dame,
"et tôt, dépêchez-vous, car je me pâme".

English translation

Feeling lusty and rash one marvelous day,
A bold proposition I extended
To a charming girl in her hideaway
That we two do as nature intended.

The girl said to me, “I’m intrigued by your request,
But, my friend, I fear being unimpressed.”
Then she cried aloud as things began to balloon,
“Oh quick, hurry up, I’m going to swoon!”
