Died: 2 December 1888. Landshut, Bavaria

Biography

German Catholic priest, church musician, and composer, a leading figure in the Cecilian movement for the reform of Catholic church music in the second half of the 19th century. For the last twenty years of his life, he published a magazine, Musica Sacra.
