Background
Galician Chant (Ukrainian: галицький розспів) is a singing tradition used in the Greek-Catholic and Orthodox Church mainly in Western Ukraine. Like in Kievan or Znamenny chant Znamenny, Galician chant uses the system consisting of Eight Modes (intonation structures).
