Born: Rushmore Lodge, Wiltshire (near Salisbury) England, 26 September, 1803.
Died: Orange, New Jersey, 7 October, 1887.
Biography
Emigrated from England to Boston in 1830; organist, Old South Church; Co-founder, Boston Academy of Music; President Handel and Haydn Society, 1840
