Biography
George Maximilian Slatter was a priest vicar and sub-treasurer of Exeter Cathedral. He was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge. In 1819, he was instituted to the vicarage of St. Mary's, West Anstey, in North Devon: he was non-resident, because of his duties in Exeter, and is reported to have visited the parish only rarely. His two published collections of church music consist mainly of collect settings and service music.
