Composer: Oliver Barton
Lyricist:
Number of voices: 4vv Voicing: SATB
Genre: Sacred, Mass

Description: This setting is energetic with a more reflective middle section. There is a certain debt to the Missa Luba and the singers ought to feel quite exhausted by the end. There is a companion setting of the Kyrie, Sanctus/Benedictus and Agnus Dei as well. "Gallinum huma" could be translated as "interred chicken" or, with a little imagination, "Hen-bury". It was written for the Henbury Singers in Bristol.
