German text Gott ist mein trost/ hat mich erlöst, mit seinem blut so rothe/ er wil stets seyn der helfer mein/ in aller angst und nothe. Ob gleich die welt mir fast nachstelt, will ich doch nit verzagen/ dann wer Gott trawt/ hat wohl gebrawt/ thut nach der welt nit fragen.

English translation God is my consolation and he saved me, with his blood so red he will always be my helper n every fear and distress. Although the world is allways tempting me, I do not despair as he who trusts in God has all he needs and does not ask for the world.
