Description: Published in Southern Harmony, 1835, p. 107, for three voices: Treble-Tenor-Bass; Walker added an Alto part when he revised it in 1867, in his Christian Harmony, p. 157. Words by Charles Wesley, 1759, Funeral Hymns No. 3, with nine stanzas of meter 86. 86. D (C.M.D.). Walker used the first half of Wesley's first stanza in his composition.
