General information

Hoc corpus is the communion antiphon for Passion Sunday. The Gregorian melody is in the eighth mode.

Latin text

Hoc corpus quod pro vobis tradetur:

hic calix novi testamentiest in meo sanguine, dicit Dominus:

hoc facite quotiescumquesumitis, in meam commemorationem.

English translation

This is my body which is given for you;

this cup is the new testament in my blood, saith the Lord:

do this, as oft as ye shall meet together in remembrance of me.
