English text
How shall I speak my Saviour's worth,
Or tell the love he bears to me?
Shall I begin to sing his birth,
Or follow Him to Calvary?
Yes, this I'll tell my brethren dear,
And call them to receive his grace;
For now his righteousness is near,
And free for all the fallen race.
His tender arms are open still,
Returning sinners to receive;
Steady his mind, and fixed his will
To save whoever shall believe.
He waits with pardon in his hand,
And longs that you the same might share:
Come, sinners, at his mild command;
His name forbids your hearts to fear.
