English text
I to the hills will lift my eyes; from where shall come my aid?
My help is from the Lord above, who heav’n and earth has made.
He will not let your foot be moved, his own he safely keeps;
With watchful and untiring eyes he slumbers not nor sleeps.
Your faithful guardian is the Lord, your shelter and your shade;
Nor sun by day, nor moon by night need make your soul afraid.
From evil he shall keep you safe and shall your strength restore.
And guard your going out and in, both now and evermore.
