German text
1 Ich ruf zu dir, mein Herr und Gott,
verlaß mich nicht in meiner Not,
erhör mein sehnlich Flehen,
ich bitte dich,
errette mich,
hilf meiner armen Seelen.
5 Es wird ja meiner Seelen lang,
daß ich muß leiden solchen Drang
und bei den Leuten bleiben,
die leb'n in Haß
ohn Unterlaß
und keinen Frieden leiden.
6 Alles was dient zu Fried und Ruh
mit großem Ernst ich suchen tu,
aber sobald ich rede
von deinem Wort,
die gottlos Rott
wider mich Krieg erhebet.
