Io gia cantando la mia libertate,
I lacci rotti e le faville spente,
Di che m'arse e lego si fieramente,
Donna gentil ma nuda di pietate,
E dicea meco hor qual nova beltate,
Stringera me d'un nodo si possente,
Che non mi scioglia e di che face ardente,
Strugger potra le mie voglie gelate.
