Biography

James Gerald Dailey was born in Rockland, Delaware and, as a young man, moved to Brockwayville, Pennsylvania with his mother. He became an active evangelist throughout Western Pennsylvania. He also lived for a time in Fredonia Village, New York, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He died in Millbourne, Pennsylvania. He wrote Gospel songs, temperance songs, and hymns; he published many in several collections.
