Biography

John Ogilvy "was born at Aberdeen in 1733. After studying at the University of Aberdeen, ... He became parish minister of Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire, in 1759, and of Midmar, Aberdeenshire, in 1760. He died at Midmar, Nov. 17, 1813.
